MBIC Aims & Objectives

MBIC is a non-profit organisation served to develop the biomass industries in Malaysia through strategic partnership with biomass SMEs and major feedstock owners as well as research institutes and international bodies.

 

Our Aims and Objectives are:

  • To promote application of the principles of sustainable consumption and production among members towards climate change mitigation efforts.
  • To protect, safeguard and to promote resources, industry interests, revenue potential of Biomass Industry in Malaysia.
  • To promote creation of conducive ecosystem for high value biomass commercialization, marketing and utilisation.
  • To promote the interests of biomass industry and privileges of the members.
  • To act as one-stop reference center to disseminate industry-relevant information to members and related stakeholders.
  • To foster relationship and dialogue session with the industry, public bodies, international bodies, civil societies, etc.
  • To carry out the task of balancing the needs and interests of various sectors for synergy and development of biomass industry as a whole.
  • To promote the growth of the biomass industry jointly with the government, stakeholders and relevant parties.
  • To establish Malaysia as Internationally recognised biomass hub.
  • To promote internationally recognised sustainability certification of biomass products in Malaysia.
  • To provide effective and interactive framework for international co-operation and consultation in all issues relating to the biomass industry.
  • To identify and create new markets for the promotion of the Biomass Industry at both the domestic and international levels.
